Effie Talk: #effiethinking for Marketers // 3rd of April

This 16th edition of EFFIE festival continues with its third seminar on #effiethinking. Effie Talk: #effiethinking for Marketers will take place on April 3rd at Institute, the Café (104-106 Stirbei Voda Street), starting 4 p.m. The event aims to provide answers to questions like “What is, in fact, #effiethinking?” or “What’s in it for your brand when you compete for an Effie trophy?”

Effie Talk: #effiethinking for Marketers will have the following speakers:

Victor Stroe is Associate Director and Head of Strategy at Leo Burnett Bucharest & President of Romanian Effie Awards Committee 2019. Victor will explain two of the priorities of this year’s Effie mission: adapting the festival to these days’ communication and promoting #effiethinking. Effie is fundamentally a way of thinking which brings together the basic elements of a communication campaign (context, challenge, objectives, strategy, creative ideas and results). #Effiethinking supports therefore promoting communication models, which form the basis to efficient campaigns above the annual competition, as a part of a correct marketing model.

 

Iuliana Nedelcu is Marketing Manager at Coca-Cola Romania. In this position she leads the Sparkling Soft Drinks department at Coca-Cola Romania, coordinates many brand teams and the Consumer Interaction Center department. As one of the most reliable member of Coca-Cola team, Iuliana is the person behind many awarded Coke campaigns: „Official wristband of the summer”, „Next Big Vlogger”, launch campaign for Coca-Cola Lime or Inna Cans Album. Iuliana Nedelcu has over 15 years of experience in brand management and marketing, 10 of which at Coca-Cola.

 

Laura Barbu is Brand & Marketing Communication Director at Vodafone Romania, with over 10 years of management experience in Brand, Marketing, MarCom, Online, e-Commerce and Sales. Laura is passionate about people, online & customer experience. She worked for companies like Elvila, Sarantis or PepsiCo and is driven by strategy & bold, yet simple, innovation.

 

 

Monica Eftimie is the Chief Marketing Officer of the brands KFC, Pizza Hut, Pizza Hut Delivery, Taco Bell Romania and Paul Romania, since January 2013. In this position, she manages and coordinates all marketing activities for these brands on the local market, recommends and implements positioning and communication strategies to increase market share and brand awareness, determines and manages the annual marketing budget and develops marketing plans and projects. With over 15 years of professional experience in the food industry, Monica started her career in marketing with internships at the Accor Group (France) and Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising.

 

Daniel Filip is the forth speaker of Effie Talk: #effiethinking for Marketers and he is Marketing General Manager Dacia & Renault at Renault Commercial Roumanie. He has 15 years of experience within the company, moving from Area Sales Manager to Senior Product Manager to Brand Manager.

 

The event will have 2 parts: a series of presentations from the Effie Talk guests & a panel talk moderated by Irina Pencea, Managing Partner, Jazz Communication & a member of the 2019 Effie Organizing Committee.
